God is awesome (I am sure you know that to be true!) and yet it never ceases to amaze me when he reaches down in the most unexpected of moments and speaks.

This morning I was driving to and from a doctor appointment with Calah as my traveling buddy… things got a little less than ideal. Calah had enough of being in the carseat and proceeded to cry like she was dying. She was, in fact, not dying; however, for a little while there was no convincing her otherwise. After pulling over to comfort her for a bit, I decided I would just have to make a go of it with a very loudly crying baby in the back seat.

I turned on the car radio to see if music  would soothe her, which thankfully it did, but it also soothed my soul. And, here’s the thing: had the baby not been crying, I would not have turned on the radio and listened to that CD on the way home. And yet, it was just what I needed today and I could see God’s hand at work in even that crazy moment.
