Occasionally time seems to slow down just enough to be able to truly see… I love the moment in this video clip when the slow motion kicks… It was cold enough to take your breath away, the wind and snow was whipping around, then everything slows down and I could really see the beauty. Just like in real life it doesn’t last forever and “real time” kicks back in… but it left me thinking:

Our Joel turned 12 years old today! Old enough to expect the routine of birthday pictures and have chosen the location before I asked. Young enough to be thrilled with toys and Oreo cake and moments celebrating him! For each day of growing maturity I’m also praying for him to hold onto the awe and wonder of the little things in life! #joelmatthewturns12 #narrawagglebirthday

Sometimes I stop in the simple, beautiful moments and hope I remember it for a long time… the glow of the setting sun on their faces, the fun of a snowball war, the way they laughed and encouraged each other… a moment to cherish. #momentstoremember #blessed #narrawaggleadventures #goplayoutside

Snow day agenda: play in the snow, play in the snow, play in the snow. Lots of hot chocolate. Plenty of snow clothes to be dried, repeatedly. Many games played. Lots of messes made and cleaned up. And tons of pictures taken. #snowday #goplayoutside #narrawaggleadventures

This is my happy face. Snow watching… started snowing at 2pm and at 6:25pm the total measured was near 4.5 inches of snow! Now, we have hopes of sledding, hot chocolate and some Narnia inspired pictures tomorrow!

You know I’m weather watching and ready to measure snow fall and document with pictures and videos, right? It’s snowing! 🌨
