My children love books. Which is a really good thing, since we have a lot of them! We have books in every room of the house: on shelves, on furniture, under beds, in book crates, in bags, usually in someone’s hands… everywhere. Yet, even with ALL of these books, the kids have their favorite books to read, you know, the books they bring to be read over and over and over and over again 🙂
One of the favorite picture books is called, “God Knows All About Me”. Here are a few pages from the book:
It is a cute book with a good message: that God knows EVERYTHING about us (the good and the bad) and God loves us!
I remember when I was little and the idea that God knew EVERYTHING about me kinda scared me, the idea that God knows how many hairs are on my head, or that he sees all that I do, and that God knows my thoughts and the desires of my heart… well, I’ll admit, that can STILL be a little overwhelming.
That is until I remember the heart of God for me.
1 John 3:1Â Â See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are
John 3:16  “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
As we are in the season of Lent, facing our need for a savior and looking to the coming celebration of Christ’s resurrection, I want to encourage you today that God, who knows all about you, LOVES YOU SO MUCH!
These verses from Ephesians 3 are my prayer for you:
“And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is.  May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.”
